All Elklan accredited courses are externally quality assured by OCN London which is an Ofqual regulated organisation.
Elklan courses can be delivered by licensed Elklan Tutors only. An Elklan Tutor is a Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) or a Specialist Teaching Advisor or a qualified teacher working in an equivalent role. That is having the responsibility of visiting a group of 20 or more schools/settings specifically to assess and advise setting staff as to how to support children and/or young people with speech, language and communication needs and has been employed in this role for a minimum of two years. Experience in training practitioners about speech, language and communication development and support is also required. (OCN requirement)
