FAST TRACK Communication Friendly Settings - Early Years

To achieve the Communication Friendly Settings status, you need to first complete ten e-learning sessions in either Speech and language Support for 0-3s OR Speech and Language Support for 3-5s.

This is web based self-directed learning. You will not need to complete assignments, but you will need to prove your knowledge by taking a short quiz after each session. The first 5 e-learning sessions need to be completed before undertaking the first Communication Friendly Settings webinar.

This course is delivered exclusively by online webinar.

This course is for applicants in Derby city only.

Eligbility: FAST TRACK Creating Communication Friendly Settings courses are for senior leaders, teachers and SENCOs who are completing either Speech and Language Support for 3-5s or Speech and Language Support for 0-3s via e-learning sessions. This course is restricted to applicants in Derby city.

Relevant materials for this course will be posted to applicants prior to course start date. To ensure receipt of materials please ensure a full home address is provided on registration.

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations must be made by email.

You may transfer your place on a course to an alternative participant prior to the start date but please inform us of the change

Failure to attend a course will not entitle you to a transfer and neither will you be able to transfer your place to others.

Elklan reserves the right to cancel this course at any time without liability. Should this occur, delegates will be given as much notice as possible and will be offered an alternative date.

Special Requirements

Your early years setting / provision

If larger settings wish to achieve Communication Friendly status one in 10 staff will need to complete the Elklan course Speech and Language Support for 0-3s OR 3-5s at level 3 by March 2021.

This course is funded by TALK Derby and administered on their behalf by Derby City Council. Your name and email address, plus the name, address and telephone number of your setting and course details will be shared with Derby City Council when you submit this application form to allow them to ensure the eligibility of each applicant.
